STAFF at a Westhoughton pharmacy were in the pink when they swapped their usual uniforms to help charity.
As part of their month-long fund-raising campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness, assistants at McCallisters Chemist, Market Street, donned pink clothes.
They also sold pink ribbons and pink beanie puppies to customers. But their efforts suffered a setback on Tuesday lunchtime when their charity box, containing about £7 in cash raised through the sale of pink ribbons, was stolen from the counter.
Manager Janet Thompson said: "I don't know who would stoop so low as to steal a charity box, but it won't deter us. We will continue to raise money for such a good cause."
