CHRISTMAS has come early for an arty Bolton schoolgirl after she won first prize in a national competition to design a Christmas card.
Simeone Fallows, aged five, of Red Lane Primary School, Breightmet, beat 1,000 other entries to win a four day trip to Disneyland Paris for her and her family.
The competition, run by TK Maxx and one of the leading children's charities, NCH, will see Simeone's winning design made into a Christmas card, along with two runner-up designs.
TK Maxx will stock the pack of 10 Christmas cards, priced at £2.99 at all stores nationwide, with £1 from each pack sold going to the NCH.
Claire Caunt, the NCH's senior corporate fundraising executive said: "Simeone's winning design captures the excitement children feel at Christmas."
Fourteen year one pupils at Red Lane Primary School took part in the challenge to produce a Christmas card as part of an arts project.
Delighted teacher Sue Hesford said: "I am really pleased for Simeone and the rest of the pupils."
