AS I mentioned last week, I was at Ikon in Bolton on Friday night -- and what a crowd!
Of course, everyone had been out for a few beers (about a hundred) to watch that very tense, already legendary, Argentina match -- and Beckam didn't let the fans down.
So the celebrations in Ikon afterwards were absolutely brilliant. I have never seen such jubilant faces!
I followed up that excitement with a trip to see Destiny's Child. As you would expect the girls were absolutely brilliant, though I think that Beyonce may have a bit of a seventies thing going on since she's been filming Austin Powers. Groovy baby.
I see Will Young has broken the trend of a new number one every week by holding on to to the top spot. However he had better watch out as there are a few high-profile releases this week.
Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger releases Hero -- nope not a rock reworking of the smoochy Enrique Iglesias track but a song written especially for the new Spider-man movie, which also features music by Sum 41 and Alien Ant Farm.
Also released is that Elvis Vs JXL track, and if you don't know which one I mean you have definitely been living in a cave for the past two months.
Battling with The King will be the pop princess -- Kylie of course -- who is releasing Love At First Sight, no doubt looking to repeat the success of Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
But does the song have what it takes? Well, it's gonna be a tough one, that's for sure. You'll just have to listen to Saturday's Key 103's Smash Hits chart.
