AN FA Cup winner's medal, presented to a Bolton Wanderers' player at the legendary 1923 "White Horse Final", fetched £3,000 at an auction yesterday.
The medal, won by left-back Alex Finney when the Wanderers beat West Ham United 2-0, was bought by a private buyer.
Finney, who died in 1982, aged 81, won two out of the three winners' medals in Wanderers' famous 20s hat-trick of FA Cup victories, missing out on the 1926 final.
