THE United Reformed Church of St Andrew and St George, St George's Road, Bolton, host a tasty trio of lunchtime concerts on consecutive Thursdays.
The concerts start at the church this week with Katie Wearing (violin) and Cherry Vann (piano) performing Handel, Mozart, Schumann and Joplin.
All concerts run from 12.45pm to 1.30pm and are preceded by a light lunch from noon.
Next week will feature soprano Pamela Heywood-Connor, accompanied by Jacqueline Tinniswood on piano, and on October 31, Helen Bywater on clarinet and Clare Cocks on piano will perform a mixed programme. Admission is £1.50.
Katie teaches in the junior departments of the Royal Northern College of Music. She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra for five years and was twice winner of the National Chamber Music Competition for Schools. She is a leader in the Bolton Chamber Orchestra and has performed solo recitals throughout the UK.
Cherry is team vicar in the East Farnworth and Kearsley Team and is also chaplain to the deaf community in Manchester. She is an accomplished pianist and is also conductor of the Bolton Chamber Orchestra.
