DEAN Crombie is back on Wanderers' books for the third time.
The former Burnden favourite, who was a member of the Fourth Division promotion winning squad of 1988, has returned to the club on the academy staff.
He has quit his role as a soccer agent to work with recruitment officer Geoff McDougle in an effort to attract the best young talent from home and abroad to the Reebok.
Apart from a brief spell as assistant manager at his former club Lincoln City, Crombie previously held a variety of roles on the Wanderers' backroom staff, including youth coach and chief scout.
Academy director Chris Sulley said: "Dean has a lot of good contacts as well as a lot of experience. He was keen for the job and will enhance our recruitment team."
