CARP was the order of the day for match organiser John Blears (Bolton Angling Centre) who led the way in Bradshaw Hall Fisheries Open Match on Number four Lodge
His 64lb beat Tony Birchall (Co-op AC) 58lb into second place, third place went to Pete Cunliffe with 46lb who had an excellent catch of mainly roach and skimmers with some bonus carp.
The King of Tons final will be fished on lake No4 next Saturday. Qualifiers are David Bailey (Ted Carter Preston), Neil Bromilow (Abu Garcia Wigan), John Blears (Bolton Angling Centre), Tony Birchall (Co-op AC), Paul Cox (Abu Garcia Wigan), Dave Swain (Abu Garcia Wigan), George Fogg (Bolton Angling Centre) Chris Davies, Pete Cunniffe, Marvin Hyde (Apollo Motors) Eric Morris (Abu Garcia Wigan), Mike Ralph, Steve Bradley (Team EPM) Paul Slee (Pendlebury Angling), Steve Leach, David Griffiths.
