AS part of the "Campaign for Drawing" Bolton Museum Art Gallery and Aquarium will be hosting a variety of FREE arty activities on Saturday, October 19.
Activities taking place at Bolton Museum include: The Drawing Minute -- Celebrity Still Life: 11.30am to 12.30pm in the Art Gallery; Underwater Drawing all day in the Aquarium; Hieroglyphics -- Drawing on the past: 2pm to 3pm in the Egyptian Room and The Big Draw all day.
The Big Draw takes place across the UK from October 16 to 23, with hundreds of events for all. The aim is to get everyone drawing!
The Drawing Power campaign was initiated by The Guild of St George, a small charity funded by artist, writer and visionary John Ruskin 1871. Ruskin saw drawing as the foundation of visual thought.
Viewing sessions with the Keeper of Art: 10am to 10.45am; 1pm to 1.45pm; 4pm to 4.45pm -- In the Art Gallery.
