Wildlife Attractions
For unique views into the aquatic world visit Bolton Museum where there are fantastic fish on display from all over the world, some highly threatened in their natural habitats. From Piranhas to Pufferfish, huge Catfish to tiny Tetras, there are hundreds of fish to come and see in an aquarium designed to allow the fish to behave as they would in the wild.
Exhibitions
net:work
Contemporary painting, sculpture and prints
Featuring 16 contemporary artists who have come together through the medium of the Internet. Web shows of their work can be viewed at WWW.NETARTNAT.COM but the exhibition in Bolton will be the group's first actual, as opposed to virtual display.
The artists are from as far geographically spread as London, Cambridge, Lancaster, Bolton, Bristol, New York and California, and this will be the first time many of the group have met face-to-face, testament to how an internet link can bring together a fascinating mix of artwork. A range of styles, subjects and media will be presented and many of the UK-based artists will be invited to give gallery talks on their work.
Runs until Saturday, November 2.
