BOLTON people are being invited to have dinner with the Mayor for a Halloween treat with a difference.
The dinner will be staged in the glittering surroundings of the Platinum Suite at the Reebok Stadium on October 31 to raise money for the Bolton Coronary Care Appeal 2002.
Dr Kevin Jones, well-known after dinner speaker and consultant surgeon at the Royal Bolton Hospital, will be joining local business people and fundraisers for a night of money-spinning laughter. BBC presenter and ex-Houghton Weaver, Norman Prince, will also be making an appearance. Cllr John Walsh, the Mayor of Bolton, has adopted the appeal, alongside the Bolton Evening News and Bolton Wanderers.
The Royal Bolton Hospital aims to start building the new coronary care unit next spring -- provided they reach a fund-raising target of £1 million. The total already stands at £705,000. Cllr Walsh is hoping his charity night will boost the total even further. Tickets cost £40 each and include dinner and entertainment.
Company tables are available at a discount price of £350 for 10. Ring the appeals office for more details on 01204 390111, or the mayor's secretary on 01204 333333.
