WHEN Suzanne Smedley lost her baby at just four days old midwives at the Royal Bolton Hospital proved to be "a tower of strength."
And now Suzanne, from Breightmet, is able to say a proper "thank you" to them -- courtesy of the Bolton Evening News' Bouquet of the Week.
She wrote nominating Judith Mahon's team on Ward M2 at the Princess Anne Maternity Unit.
"I was 26 weeks pregnant and I was taken into hospital with high blood pressure," she explained. "My baby was delivered by Caesarian Section and, sadly, only lived for four days.
"The midwives were a tower of strength for me, with the heartache me and my family were going through.
"Judith's team were all like second mums, and I want to thank them for all the dedication and support they have given me."
Modest Judith and her fellow midwives were delighted by Suzanne's kind thought, and loved the flowers from Caroline Ward's flower and gift delivery service (0800-289-335).
