EXHIBITIONS
Until November 2
Net:work Contemporary painting, sculpture and prints
Featuring 16 contemporary artists who have come together via the medium of the Internet. Web shows of their work can be viewed at www.netartnet.com, but the exhibition in Bolton will be the groups first "actual", as opposed to "virtual" display.
The artists are from as far geographically spread as far afield as London, Cambridge, Lancaster, Bolton, Bristol, New York and California, and this will be the first time many of the group have met face-to-face, testament to how an internet link can bring together a fascinating mix of artwork. A range of styles, subjects and media will be presented and many of the UK-based artists will be invited to give gallery talks on their work.
