THE pendulous scimitar of terrorism and war swings from one country to another and the ordinary people suffer.
Letters flow through the columns of the Bolton Evening News for and against war with Iraq.
What catastrophe awaits the people of this planet? Will democracy soon be a proven myth? Is a new dark age soon to be upon us? This country, America, China, Russia, and some other countries, have spent years swamping the world with weapons of mass destruction, Most of the trouble today seems to have roots in the Middle East, with the murder and oppression taking place there.
I must confess, I don't have the answer to this sad state of affairs. Perhaps one of our three Labour Members of Parliament will voice an opinion in the columns of this good newspaper?
