BOLTON pop star Badly Drawn Boy's new single 'You Were Right' has stormed into the charts at number nine - despite only going on sale for one day.
The singer released the first track off his new album 'Have You Fed the Fish' on Monday but it was deleted after one day, making it a limited edition release.
It is the Bolton-born artist's highest chart position to date, following hits including 'Something to Talk About' from the soundtrack to the film 'About a Boy'.
The new song, including a new track called 'Last Fruit', was first performed at this year's Glastonbury Festival. The album comes out next month to coincide with a tour which includes a date at Manchester Appollo on November 29.
