AMBULANCE staff say speed cameras are causing major problems with red tape.
The number of cameras on the roads in Lancashire mean they are frequently triggered by ambulances speeding to answer calls.
Vehicles are exempt from prosecution if travelling above the speed limit, but only if management can prove their crews are responding to emergencies.
Frank Whiteford of Lancashire Ambulance Service says the administration involved wastes valuable time.
