FORMER Coronation Street star Scott Wright appeared before Bury magistrates after speeding between 104mph and 120mph on a busy motorway.
The 27-year-old, who played blond-haired mechanic Sam, was caught by police breaking the speed limit in his high-powered Audi on the M60 at Whitefield in June this year.
Wright, from Porchfield Square, Manchester, was fined £500, given six penalty points on his licence and ordered to pay £35 court costs. He volunteered to pay the total amount within 28 days.
The actor's character will be remembered for stripping in the Rovers Return and helping Toyah through the aftermath of her rape ordeal.
