THE body of a man found in a house in Argyle Street, Heywood, was that of Bury-born Harry Chadwick, aged 46.
An inquest was told how the life of the "happy-go-lucky, clean-living man" turned into unhappiness after his children left home.
Mr Chadwick's body was found after his brother-in-law, James McGuinness, of Alfred Street, Bury, raised the alarm, having not had contact him for three days. A needle and other drug equipment was found in the house.
Coroner Simon Nelson recorded an open verdict, as it could not be determined whether Mr Chadwick had died of natural causes, or the effect of drugs.
