IN January, 1946, 50,000 airmen serving in the Middle East and Far East went on strike in what a recent Channel 4 programme called "the greatest single act of defiance in the history of the British armed forces".
I am writing a book about those events and have been studying official records, newspaper reports and the like, but I also need to hear from men who took part.
I am therefore appealing to any readers who were involved in the strikes either to write to me about their experiences, or to send me their names and addresses so that I can contact them.
