TWENTY three members of Royal Ashton AC fished the second Winter League match on a stormy Rumworth Reservoir.

Paul Swift fished a delicate ledger system with maggot which paid off when he had a good head of small roach for a winning 4lbs-6ozs.

Kevin Lever tried the pole with bronze maggots and he was only about three fish short of glory but in the end had to settle for second place with 4lbs-4ozs.

John Crook came in third with a pole caught 3lbs-6ozs. Another pole fisherman made fourth place when Rodney Makin returned 2lbs-12ozs, Peter Riley was fifth with 2lbs-11ozs.
