AN investigation has been launched after two workers were injured in an accident at a Bolton company.
They fell through a floor while demolishing a building at First Industrial Ltd in Lostock Lane, Bolton.
A 43-year-old man suffered a fractured skull after the 10 foot drop , which happened at 11.20am yesterday.
He was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital and was transferred to Hope Hospital in Salford last night.
A 45-year-old man suffered a broken leg and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The men, from Preston and Blackburn, have not been named. They work for a Preston-based demolition firm. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
First Industrial is developing the site. General manager Paul Westhead said: "The men were demolishing a floor when the accident happened. We take health and safety very seriously. The Health and Safety Executive is now investigating."
No one was available for comment at the firm.
