POLICE are urging Bolton children to help beat street crime -- and set a world record.
Officers are attempting to set the record for security marking the most mobile phones in a weekend.
It is hoped more than 1,000 youngsters will have their phones marked as part of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Hawk initiative and the 'Make A Difference' competition, which encourages children to devise ideas to reduce crime.
Phones will be marked at Bolton Library, the Big W superstore in Burnden, Bolton Lads and Girls Club, and the Market Place.
