Exhibitions

net:work www.netartnet.com

Contemporary painting, sculpture and prints

Featuring 16 contemporary artists who have come together through the medium of the Internet. Web shows of their work which can be viewed at www.netartnet.com but the exhibition in Bolton will be the group's first actual, as opposed to virtual display.

The artists are from as far geographically spread as London, Cambridge, Lancaster, Bolton, Bristol, New York and California and this will be the first time many of the group have met face to face, testament to how an internet link can bring together a fascinating mix of artwork. A range of styles, subjects and media will be presented and many of the UK-based artists will be invited to give gallery talks on their work.

Homes of Football

This phenomenally popular touring exhibition documents the changing face of football with new pictures and has been described as a fitting tribute to the national game. The spectrum of clubs and scenes is amazing and in World Cup year there are recent pictures of the England team. Bolton Wanderers fans are pictured at both Burnden Park and the Reebok Stadium, alongside many objects from the Museum's collection, including a turnstile and a row of seats from Burnden Park.

The exhibition runs from Friday, November 15 to January 11, 2003 with extended evening opening until 8pm on Thursday, November 21, 28 and December 5, 12 and 19.

We offer a wide range of educational experiences and family activities for people of all ages.
