A GRUELLING 35,000-mile round-the-world yacht race was due to start today from the River Mersey in Liverpool after being postponed due to bad weather.
The fourth Clipper 2002 Round the World Yacht Race is being battled out between eight 15-strong international crews.
Teams from London, Bristol, Liverpool, Glasgow, Jersey, New York, Cape Town and Hong Kong are all taking part.
