RESIDENTS are being invited to contribute ideas towards plans to make Bolton's roads safer.
Officials from Bolton Council's Environment Dept are visiting the six area forums in Bolton for the views of home owners.
Environment department official John Evans said: "There is not enough money to tackle every need. We need to look at where there is the greatest priority."
The council hopes to introduce new speed restrictions on existing roads -- 20 mph on residential roads and 30 mph on distributor roads.
Mr Evans said: "We want to include the community to find out the issues that need to be tackled.
"We have also been asking how residents think problems can be solved and inviting ideas."
The department will be reporting their findings back to the council in December.
