ALEX Bognanovic is celebrating after winning the men's title at the Hastings Direct National Tennis Championships at the Bolton Arena on Saturday.
Belgrade-born Bogdanovic made up for finishing second last year when the 18-year-old punished former champion Jamie Delgado for unforced errors to win the final 7-5, 6-2.
Bogdanovic showed he is continuing to realise his huge potential and hopes remain high that he can follow Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski into the big time.
Another talented teenager Anne Keothavong won the women's title when she outplayed top seeded Julie Pullin 6-1, 6-3.
The man in charge of the development of British players, the LTA performance director Patrice Hagelauer was noteceable by his absence at the finals. He went home to Paris for the weekend.
