SPECULATION over the future of Paul Terzis is finally over with Leigh Centurions announcing that Paul Terzis has agreed a new 12 month contract to stay with the club as Head Coach.
The Aussie's future had been in doubt ever since the Centurions were beaten by Huddersfield in the NFP Grand Final two weeks ago. Leigh officials had indicated that Terzis would only be given a new deal if Leigh won a place in Super League.
But Terzis will again be at Hilton Park next season to spearhead another drive from the Centurions to grab a place in the game's elite division.
Club Chairman, Mike Nolan said: "We feel that he is the right man for the job. We can now look forward to next season with great excitement."
Terzis added: "I am very pleased to be staying with the club. For the first time in a long time there has been some forward planning and security. Leigh has always been a progressive club, playing to a high standard, I aim to take the club to a higher level."
Leigh have already started to shape their squad for next season with Oli Marns, Bobbie Goulding and Vila Matautia released from this season's squad. Second rower Andy Isherwood has joined Widnes.
Leigh have drawn up a shortlist of replacements and have already recruited up-and-coming second rower Dale Holdstock from neighbours Swinton. He is the son of well-known ex-Hull KR pack star, Roy.
