FORMER pop star Jason Orange made an appearance at a Christmas fair at the Royal Bolton Hospital -- despite an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug, the Norwalk Virus.

The former Take That singer, who lives in Trafford, kept his date with mental health patients at the hospital to open their Christmas fair. Crowds gathered at the Belmont Day Hospital to see the 33-year-old at the event which was staged to raise money to buy patients on the J2 ward Christmas presents.

It is the second time that Jason has visited the Royal Bolton Hospital in the last few weeks.

Last month he visited the J2 ward and spent time meeting patients with dementia.

Then he donated a framed silver disc from his Take That days as top prize in a raffle. The raffle raised £1,300 for projects helping men who suffer from dementia.
