THE final afternoon of entertainment in the series of lunchtime concerts at St Andrew and St George United Reformed Church, takes place this Thursday.
Helen Bywater will perform on clarinet, accompanied by Clare Cocks on piano. Helen has been principal clarinet and concerto soloist with the Lancashire Students' Symphony Orchestra.
She has played in the Royal Northern College of Music Symphony, Chamber and Opera Orchestras and has been involved in recordings with the RNCM Wind Orchestra. She is the E-flat clarinettist with the Halifax Symphony Orchestra.
Clare has recently given recitals at Manchester University, and in Accrington, Kendal and Forde in Norway. Their programme will include pieces by Finzi, Ravel and Templeton.
The concert runs from 12.45pm to 1.30pm. Concert admission is £1.50 and light lunches are from noon.
