Oldham 64 Tyldesley 21 - WEAKENED Tyldsley felt the full force of leaders Oldham and were thrashed 64-21.
Tyldesley were forced to make six changes and were outclassed. Their only reward in a hard first half was a try from Andy Dickinson converted by stand off Fraser Mackintosh.
Another Dickinson try was added to by Ian Worsfold with Mackintosh converting both.
Next Saturday Penrith visit St George's Park ko 2.30pm.
Tyldesley Knights also suffered with a number of changes and went down to leaders Oldham by 28-7. A brave second half performance saw a try for young scrum half Paul Martin but despite a rally Tyldesley could find no more in reserve to mount a come back. Tyldesley Dragons had their game called off with a total of 16 players unavailable.
An exciting game is in prospect when Lancashire U18s take on Yorkshire at Tyldesley on Sunday in the county championship.
