TWO Bolton policemen facing rape allegations could wait for up to a month before they find out if they will be charged.

The PCs were arrested after a Chorley woman lodged a complaint. Lancashire Police have refused to reveal exactly what date they are due to answer bail but it is understood that it may not be for four weeks. They were interviewed on Saturday morning after the allegation was made.

Both were bailed and have not been suspended from work. They have not been named and details of their ages and addresses have not been released.

A file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service and an investigation is under way.
