PEOPLE are being invited to join the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh, at a special service this Sunday at Bolton Parish Church.
It will be a service of celebration and thanksgiving for the Coronary Care Appeal at the Royal Bolton Hospital, which is the first citizen's main charity for his year of office.
Children from four primary schools in Astley Bridge will be singing at the service and the preacher will be a former chief medical officer, Dr Peter Povey.
"This is an opportunity to give the Coronary Care Appeal a final push towards its target of £1 million and celebrate all that has been achieved so far," said Cllr John Walsh.
The service starts at 6.30pm.
