BOLTON Veterans Association has organised a range of events including a cabaret and concert to mark Remembrance weekend.

The association's annual dinner will take place on Friday, November 8, at the Halliwell Central Reform Club, Brownlow Way,which will be attended by the Mayor, Cllr John Walsh. Members of the public will be allowed free entry after the meal at 9pm for a cabaret featuring singers Murray Geemac and Val Roberts.

On Sunday, November 10, the veterans will take part in the parade. Participants should assemble at 8am at the Cotton Tree, Prince Street, Bolton, to march at 9.30am to Bolton Town Hall before returning to the Cotton Tree.

Free transport is provided to the Halliwell Central Reform Club for a Remembrance Day concert beginning at noon. The Bolton Hoover Band will appear followed by a singalong and cabaret.
