A RECRUITMENT day is being held at Christie Hospital on Monday in an effort to attract nurses to the specialist cancer centre.
The open day hopes to attract additional staff to the hospital which treats patients from all over the North-west.
Alison Norman, director of nursing and operations, said: "Christie Hospital is world famous but, like many Manchester hospitals, it has problems recruiting nurses." The recruitment event is targeting all nurses at all grades, with or without experience in cancer care. The event will include a rolling programme of presentations, interviews and medicals throughout the day. The open day will run from 10am to 8pm, in the Education Centre at the hospital. Anyone interested can turn up on the day. More details are available on 0161 446 3976, or e-mail: nursing@christie-tr.nwest.nhs.uk
