THEFTS from cars have soared in cities throughout the region, according to a report on crime.
Thefts have risen for the first time in 10 years, the crime hotspots chart shows -- Manchester is ranked fifth, with Stockport and Liverpool at 15th and 16th.
The latest Autoglass survey reveals 53 per cent of car crimes in the North-west take place outside people's homes.
