BRITISH Gas is seeking to recruit 370 gas engineers across the North-west.
It is part of a national recruitment drive which will see 3,000 engineering jobs created nationwide by 2005.
The company says it already employs more than 800 service engineers in the region, but needs more to meet the demand for experts to repair and service gas central heating and other domestic gas appliances.
Mr John Connolly, the British Gas area service manager for the North-west, said they were looking for qualified service engineers in Bolton.
"We would love to hear from friendly and experienced people who enjoy working as a part of a team and want to be part of a successful national company with the benefits and job security that can offer," he said.
An open evening is to be held at the Novotel hotel, Worsley from 6.30pm on Thursday, November 7.
