AN old school building has been bulldozed to make way for a car park at the junction of Chorley New Road and Herbert Street in Horwich.
Bolton's planning committee approved the plan for the 20-space car park for the adjoining St Mary's RC Church, although a condition was imposed restricting the hours in which it can be used. The demolished building was the larger of two disused school buildings on the site.
A report to the planning and highways committee - who approved the plans - stated that the car park would not cause undue disturbance to local residents or interfere with privacy.
A condition has been imposed restricting the hours in which the car park can be used.
