WHILE I was disappointed with Monday night's result, and baffled by some of Big Sam's decisions, I was infuriated with the attitude of sections of the so-called support.

Do they not realise that having a go at the players and manager during the game helps no one but the opposition.

I felt last season, that our biggest problem this season, would be lack of patience and understanding from our own support. Monday night confirmed my fears because there were people around me that seemed to be enjoying having a go at the team, and certain players.

While the club is no doubt grateful of the money from these so-called supporters, I myself think that they should be told to stay away.

If that can't be done, then let them sit with the visiting team's supporters for free, with a proviso that they go to the next away game in order to learn how "proper" Bolton fans get behind their team.

We mustn't forget that on paper we have a stronger squad, and that if we won our game in hand we wouldn't be in the bottom three. So it's not all doom and gloom, there's a long way to go yet, and if we all pull together supporters, players, and management alike, we'll be locked in Old Trafford again next season at 10.30 singing songs about Kevin Nolan.

A bit of constructive criticism, though, regarding Big Sam.

Would it not be helpful, if only from a public relations

point of view, to explain his line of thought behind team selections and substitutions for each game in the following week's programme and newspaper commentary.
