LINKS between the North-west and Scotland have been strengthened with the announcement of new flights.
New services at Manchester Airport will see regular flights to and from Inverness and Dundee in north-east Scotland.
The services are operated by Eastern Airways and BMI, and will include three daily trips to Inverness.
It is thought the flights will be particularly useful as one leg as part of longer journeys.
