BOLTON Mets ARLFC suffered another defeat on Saturday at home to Standish, but for the second week running the half time score was goalless, highlighting their improvement in defence.
Mark Dorning led the tackle count, closely followed by forward Ryan Terry and Dave Cain.
Half way through the second half, when the Mets looked the better of the sides, a lucky interception gave Standish their first try.
They added another later in the half after a defensive mix up giving them a 12-0 victory.
This was Bolton's best display to date. They were unlucky to lose.
Next week's game is away to Latchford A in the North West County's Cup. Meeting at the Hare and Hounds, Bury Road, at 12 noon.
