THE bookies were not wrong as Shakers, 11-1 outsiders, found Premiership aristocrats Fulham too tough a nut to crack in the Worthington Cup third round at Loftus Road.
Andrejs Stolcere hit a goal either side of the break while Lee Clark added a third in the 73rd minute.
The Shakers, who disposed of Wanderers in the last round, and are in a rich vein of form that has seen them go six games without defeat had some solace when Jon Newby hit a consolation in the last minute.
