FARMERS in parts of the region are celebrating record sales of their own branded fresh milk, after it went on sale in local supermarkets.
Sixteen farmers from Lancashire joined forces to launch the Bowland Fresh brand, after many complained they were not being paid enough for their milk.
After signing a deal with a Lancashire supermarket group, farmers are now getting 10 per cent more for their milk.
Bowland Fresh accounts for 10 per cent of the stores' milk sales.
