FOUR Leigh men have denied attempted murder after a disturbance outside a night club.
Ian Rawson, David Higgins, Christopher Pemberton and Christian Henry all pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to the attempted murder of Anthony James in the incident near Barbarellas night club in Leigh on August 18.
They all also denied wounding Mr James with intent; wounding Michael Whiteside with intent; assaulting Russell Mullan causing actual bodily harm; violent disorder and possessing offensive weapons -- a cosh, knife, bottles and a screwdriver.
Rawson, aged 32, of Willow Crescent, also pleaded not guilty to the illegal possession of an air rifle on August 23.
Rawson; Higgins, aged 30, of Tennyson Avenue; Pemberton, aged 21, of Liza Street, and Henry, aged 27, of Larch Road, were all remanded in custody to await their trial, beginning on February 10. No applications were made for bail.
