RIVINGTON can again consider themselves unfortunate not to have secured at least a point when they were beaten 3-1 by high-flying Rochdale St Clements in the Lancashire Amateur League.
In very difficult conditions both teams contributed to a highly entertaining game which could have easily ended as a high scoring draw but for the performances of the two goalkeepers, particularly Dave Critchley.
Although the Rochdale side took the lead, Danny Crispin equalised following a fine passing move but when he went off injured the game swung away from Rivs.
