GREAT Lever AC held an open match at Feniscowles and the bread punch anglers came to the fore.
Expert of the 'butty' Lawrence Clayton punched his way into first place with 4lbs-6ozs of silver fish. Second was John Hopkinson, who tried the odd caster along with his bread offering to take 3lbs-0ozs and third was Gordon Hoolibeck with 2lbs-4ozs.
Simon Stott did not need the 10lb bonus carp in last week's Billy Williams Memorial Match on Shore Top to ensure first place because this was already assured with a fine bag of skimmers.
Fishing red maggot on the tip the former Fish-O-Mania finalist finished way in front of the rest with 18lbs-10ozs.
Trevor Bevin took second place with 5lbs-14ozs when he too fished red maggot on the tip.
Third was Les Salmon with 4lbs-15ozs, with Peter Lee fourth on 3lbs-3ozs and Les Collier fifth with 2lbs-10ozs.
