IT was with great interest that I read of the plans for the 750th anniversary of Bolton.
The best thing anyone could do is to make every effort to have Bolton put back into Lancashire, where it has always belonged -- and out of Greater Manchester.
The other day, I read a booklet -- "Days Out in Lancashire". Bolton was not in it. I have done my own verbal poll, and everyone I asked said they lived in Lancashire.
I can't believe we had such lilly-livered councillors, who could not tell the faceless wonders in London where to go.
The people of this town should demand, and state, that we are Lancastrians -- not Greater Mancunians.
