I HAVE just arrived home after a six-day stay in the Royal Bolton Hospital.
When I arrived, at the peak of the stomach virus, I had actually had the virus several days before, but was now being admitted for pneumonia. As an asthmatic, this can be very serious, and I was seriously ill.
However, during this time, N4 became a shut ward, as staff and patients developed the terrible virus. Though one would never know how hard staff, doctors and nurses worked, endlessly, to keep the virus at bay.
I am so grateful for their care, which was 100 per cent at all times. There were no complaints, grumbles or excuses from staff having to deal with an extra burden. You have no idea how hard staff worked inside while reports were given on the outside.
All I can say is, they are all heroes and angels. God bless them all for their tireless, dedicated and impressive work.
