IT'S the last chance to win the popular Bolton Evening News Naps competition on Saturday - and some of our 200 teams will be hoping lightning does indeed strike twice!
For on the final day last year no less than eight teams picked the 50-1 winner of the November Handicap at Doncaster completely smashing the favourites out of sight.
Royal Cavalier's shock victory in the last big flat race of the season gave Llamedos (say it backwards!) a handsome victory, and the £500 first prize, right on the finishing post.
Current leaders Booth Steel have at least an 8-1 advantage over second placed Caught Napping so will have to get their tactics right.
It's the moment of decision with big money at stake. Do they go for a big priced winner, and hope their nearest rivals come unstuck? Do they play safe, and hope their current lead is big enough?
There is plenty to choose from in the Doncaster card where the ground has come right for Tees Components in the Tote Scoop6 November Stakes (Showcase Handicap).
Mary Reveley's lightly-raced seven-year-old has been something of a talking horse in recent months and disappointed when a heavily-backed favourite for the Tote Cesarewitch last month.
But he came good over two miles at Newmarket last time when slamming Hambleden in convincing fashion.
Tomorrow's £40,000 contest is over a mile and a half but he is a horse who travels well and the testing conditions will bring his stamina into play at the finish.
He held an alternative engagement on this card but connections have opted to go for this bigger prize and it will be a major surprise if he is not involved in the finish.
Ed Dunlop's Mesmeric is another who should appreciate underfoot conditions in the Listed CIU Serlby Stakes.
The Sadler's Wells colt was also in the November Handicap, in which he finished second last year, but the absence of Boreas makes this a lot easier than it would have been and he can improve on a below-par effort at Leicester last time.
Some high-class fare at Chepstow could point to early Cheltenham clues and Le Roi Miguel can make a winning start over fences in the Tote Exacta Rising Stars Novices' Chase.
Paul Nicholls' four-year-old was a classy performer over hurdles last season, finishing second to Miros in the Grade One Tolworth Hurdle on his last start.
Le Roi Miguel is certain to have been well schooled for his debut over the bigger obstacles and can get on the board here.
At Wincanton, Jonjo O'Neill can send out Quazar to take the KJ Pike & Sons Elite Hurdle.
The four-year-old enjoyed a highly successful campaign last season, taking the Martell XO Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices' Hurdle before landing the Grade One Event Centre At Punchestown Champion Four Year Old Hurdle.
Quazar is obviously a top class recruit for O'Neill and he can chalk up an early victory here.
