Exhibitions
Remembering HMS Dido
This small exhibition timed to coincide with Remembrance Sunday will pay tribute to the men who served on Bolton's very own warship. During a successful 'Warship Week' the people of Bolton raised the funds to sponsor this vessel whch saw action throughout WWII. She served with distinction in the Mediterranean and elsewhere - nobably assisting the invasion of Sicility and the Anzio landings. Runs until January 11.
Homes of Football
This phenomenally popular touring exhibition documents the changing face of football, it has developed, with new pictures and has been described as a fitting tribute to the national game. The spectrum of clubs and scenes is amazing and in World Cup year there are recent pictures of the England team. Bolton Wanderers fans are pictured at both Burnden Park and the Reebok Stadium, alongside many objects from the Museum's collection, including a turnstile and row of seats from Burnden. The exhibition runs from November 15 to January 11 with extended opening until 8pm on Thursday, November 21 and 28 and December 5, 12 and 19.
