AN autistic youngster who died in a house fire will be remembered by a national magazine.

Mobeen Ahmed, aged nine, died in the blaze at his Bolton home 12 months ago, but his memory will live on thanks to The Autism File magazine, which has created a free subscriptions list named after the youngster.

The Greenfold School pupil, who was unable to speak because of his condition, will also be remembered at a two-day event which is due to be held at Bolton Institute later this month.

Video footage of Mobeen will be shown at the lectures on "facilitated communication" -- a pioneering form of communcation the youngster was learning before his death.

His parents, Nargis and Mukhta, and their two sons, Ebraar and Rehman, have recently faced the ordeal of moving back into their Bury New Road home, which has been repaired following the blaze.

They were determined to move into their old home despite the painful memories.

Nargis, aged 34, said: "We needed to move back in to be able to get on with our lives.

"It is upsetting when the boys point to where Mobeen used to sit and play, but there are lots of happy memories, too."

Polly Tommey, from The Autism File, said: "Mobeen was an extraordinary little boy. He was helpless, but helped so many others in his short life and we were keen to set something up in his memory."
