A MAN was jailed for four months by Bury magistrates after he was caught drink-driving while he was already disqualified.
Stephen Sweeney, aged 21, of Goldfinch Drive, Bury, was spotted driving through traffic lights in his BMW saloon in the early hours in July.
When Sweeney pulled up and stalled the car a Bury Council security guard who had been following him challenged him and ordered him to hand over the keys.
The police in Bury were then called and later he was found to not only have been disqualified for drink driving, but was also over twice the legal limit.
Sweeney pleaded guilty to drink driving, two charges of driving while disqualified and having no insurance, as well as dangerous driving and failing to surrender to bail. He was also banned from driving for three years.
